your advice is priceless! I’m totally with you on needing to find a nitch. and i think everyone will agree they’ve seen enough whitetail shows but i have some unique ideas. i’ve really gained a passion for guiding over the past 5 or 6 years around the charleston SC. area. I’ve guided hog hunts, shark fishing charters, and alligator hunting. i also own and operate a taxidermy business. I’m now back in the ohio river valley (long story) but i would love to taylor my guiding to this part of the country and try to evolve it into an outdoor show. any words of wisdom?

Outdoor HuntingTV shows are a dime a dozen and all have the same format. Small talk at the start, a few scenes and re-creations, a few false stalks, then the kill shot, some congratulations, and the end. If I had a show, it would begin with the kill shot, then take it from there. What’s next? I expect I could fill the next 20 minutes with cleaning, caping, packing, processing meat or hide, or what can be done with the meat to support the local community food pantry. Every animal is different, making a series on this format possible. Deer , Elk, Buffalo, Pigs, etc.

Michelle, you’re my blogging hero…you can’t give it up. Seriously, you’ve had a lot going on in your personal life over the past several months and most of us understand that. It’s tough to blog when life is pulling you in so many different directions. When things slow down for you I’m sure your wonderful words of wisdom will begin to flow once again…and I expect to be reading them HERE!!
